Steel Brake Lines Recommendations for 08 Base TL?

I have an 08' Base and did a quick search for SS brake line recommendations but most people had the steel lines with Brembo packages. I used racing brake in the past for a previous car but not their ss brake lines and it's not really mentioned on this site. I really don't like the soft pedal feel and the ss lines helped in the past.

Anyone have any experience with these or could share their recent experience?
Racing Brake Lines

TIA, czr

How long have you had them, miles, where, price, and did you notice a difference for our cars?

I have brembos and it did not come with stainless steel lines.

I did upgrade my rubber lines to SS. I bought the SS lines from
http://store.excelerateperformance.com/

I DID NOT FEEL A DIFFERENCE in normal driving.
Stainless steel lines help prevent BRAKE FADE.
and I'm not heating up my fluid hot enough to take advantage of the SS lines.

Thanks for the input. I wonder if the same can be said about the non-brembos or if it depends on the brand. For the Base, xlr8 only sells sel-branded xlr8 or techna fit brand lines but I've had positive improvements from goodridge which doesn't sell them for base model

how do SS lines prevent fade? i always assumed fade is dependent on the type of pads being used.

Fade is about heat - so, it's a function of your rotors, cooling, and your pads. SS lines help with pedal firmness, not fade.

At the end of the day, good tires are still the number one tool for improving braking.

i should have elaborated when i mentioned the pads. i do understand that fade can be caused by heat under very severe conditions.

with all things working as they should especially healthy brake fluid, i learned pad material is the linchpin for fade.

ive always believed that tires are the #1 factor in changing handling characteristics of a car beyond any other component changes. this includes braking.
