SC + Nitrous Discussion- 06 TL

First I would definately run a wet kit.

Second I have had 3 NX kits before and I am confident in the product.

Third this would be used only on a track thing.

Forth I could add more gauges.... I am a gauge whore.

Fifth at this point the TL is a garage car.

So thoughts, sugestions, and please anyone out there with this set up?

Thanks!

my guess is the only thing holding you back might be fuel, the injectors may be close to maxed out with the S/C already on... Also where would you inject it, drill a hole in the charger right before the IM?

I've used nitrous on my turbo car to spool the turbo in the old days. I've had several friends run nitrous and a blower.

Normally I would say get the most out of your blower first with a HBP, intercooler, and some tuning. But since tuning is out of the question, nitrous is an option.

My only suggestions are to inject post blower. Jet it super rich at first.

What ever hp the jets are rated at, add another 15% due to the intercooling of the hot compressed air.

It's definately time to see what your fuel pump is rated at. To be safe you will probably have to replace the in tank pump with a higher flow one (Walbro 340 at a minimum) or go with an external (noisy) pump. I stretched the 340 out to high 10s.

Make sure exhaust mods are done. This is no environment for a catalytic convertor. You could probably take advantage of a single 3" or dual 2.25" exhaust all the way back.

You know I am a juice head all the way so I am for it. You should be able to see where the injectors are at with the HONDA scan tool. I def agree with IHATE about the fuel pump. I upgraded mine even though all I have is the bottle and no S/C. NX and Zex are the same so I am with you on that. Only thing that makes me nervous is that our cars have a relatively higher compression ratio and high compression and N20 usually dont hang out together. You running stock internals?

I believe an old member (I can't remember his name to save my life, but he was from Jersey) that was s/c used nitrous and blew his engine. I think he was using a 50 or 75 shot. You should search and read up on it. Good Luck. Without a proper tune, it may not be worth it.

I would change as much parts(internals) in the TL that is available. I don't know how much other stuff u can change in the engine of the TL. For the G35 u can change alot, idk? But if u could i would. U could get a 12 to low 13sec car and have the fastest tl in the world

Currently I am all stock internals. Dumb question but would I benefit from type s injectors or cam?

Exhaust wise I am running ATLP with jpipe, stock precats and megan test pipe. (I have both the eshift-procats and richie pprecat deletes not installed)

So I should start with replacing the fuel pump and go from there? Anyone have any opinions on direct injection vs the nozzle or am I just asking for trouble?

I have heard of gains off the Type S cams but I have no dyno sheets to prove it. I know that you will be miserable swapping them lol. I wouldve dumped that fuel pump a long time ago with just the s/c so I would def start there! For the amount of hp you will be adding on the bottle (since you are already jamming more air in there) a single nozzle would be fine. I just hope you can jet it mild enough. I have the smallest fuel jet made to achieve the A/F I wanted with a 75ish hit. 75 hp plus your blower output on stock internals may make for a bad day. IMO
