What in the world?!
What in the world?!
Stage 3 Exhaust consists of a dynomax resonator and a deleted mid muffler into a straight pipe..
spoke with a mechanic from a muffler store who has been working for 15 years nd told me that the dynomax resonator would have the same result as deleting the resonator nd straight piping it.
can anyone elaborate on this please?
so basically... he's saying to straight pipe it from the resonator to the mid muffler.
I'm wondering, if that's possible, why doesn't everyone just straight pipe it instead of purchasing a dynomax nd having that welded on.

Because it's gonna be ALOT louder. The dynomax is just like our stock resonator except shorter, meaning less muffling of the sound.
So pretty much, if you straight pipe it...this is what would happen:

did you not hear the difference between the stage 3 and 4 exhaust in your other thread?
Any change to the exhaust can alter the sound. Some people don't want to go stage 4 because it sounds like crap.
but, first time I heard dynomax resonator sounds like straight piping it
