So the Race/Test pipe replaces the stock cats before the J-Pipe?

^ Race/test pipe replaces the 3rd cat (after the j-pipe)

Precat deletes replace the primary cats before the j-pipe

^ With just the j-pipe, you have nothing to worry about since you're not removing any cats.

With a test/race pipe, you should still be fine unless your inspection guy is super anal. Then you might not pass a visual inspection with the race pipe. The bulge of the test pipe could pass as a stock 3rd cat

These mods don't throw any CELs so you'll be fine.

Yes but can't the Race/Test pipe fail the emisson side of inspection?

^ Negative. As far as I know, no one has failed their emissions test in any state with JUST the 3rd cat out. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hmm, that's not what richie told me via email a few months back. Btw, what is the difference between the Race/Test pipe again? And they replace the 3rd cat correct?

any predictions richie?
some said the last version didnt flow as well as the other j-pipes on the market. will this flow better than the last and hopefully yield better gains then the other j-pipe?

Okay, I'm a newbie, and my 07 TLS is my first "toy" car. So, being a retard, should I get the test or race pipe for a Virginia car? They're not anal here on emissions, at least not where I get tested, I don't even think they do a visual. I don't care much about sound since I do have long highway drives to work, sooo.... I am definitely "in" on the group buy for on of the pipes unless someone tells me otherwise.....

i dont see a reason to get the test, so i say race. and the j-pipe is a must if you decide to spend any money on pipes. the combo will give you nice gains and you should have no issues with any emissions. i have these and love the added power with only small increase in sound. its the primary cat deletes that cause the emission failures, but they probably give some of the best gains.

You won't get a CEL so you will pass any non visual inspection. Returning to stock isnt bad at all maybe 20-30 minutes I've done it in a parking lot.

Correct they replace the 3rd cat, the test pipe is resonated, goes straight through and makes for a better tone. The race pipe is non resonated and goes straight through.

I am hoping for 7-10WHP and 10+WTQ on a 6MT just slightly more then the old version.

Any pics? I was planing on building a V6 hatch this summer.

Not sure depends on the price of the precats. They are going to cost more since we are stepping up the piping thickness.
