RV6 J-pipe + Precat Install

I just got my RV6 kit from Richie today (Thanks Richie!)... as soon as it came in I rushed to a local muffler shop to install it. Bad news... these guys wouldn't touch it even with a 10ft pole but they did recommended that I take it to a local custom shop that deals with custom turbo fabrications.

Those who got this kit installed already... could this be done with a muffler shop or go with the guys who do custom turbo fabrications. There are a few shops in my area that can do this.... BTW, the custom fabrication shop that I went to was really impressed with the quality of the RV6 kit.

Any suggestions? Need advice on this one here...

This can be done by any mechanic really. It's all bolt on. No fabrication or welding required.

Honestly, if you have 3-4 hours to kill, and you feel like lying on your back you can do it yourself.

But you can't go to a big name shop(such as mineke) because removing the cats is illegal. You need to go to a no name shop, but even then its not guaranteed they will do it.

It is just a simple bolt on, even though it is a bitch getting the precats out.

Of course that is only what I have learned from reading on here. I am still waiting to install all of the stuff I bought. its just sitting there, begging to be installed

It's definitely a diy, as long as you've got the right tools, jack, and jackstands.

The bolts around the 3rd cat and j-pipe were the most difficult for me. I ended up taking my car to a shop and had them loosen up the bolts.

WD-40 and time. You can also break off old nuts/bolts by tightening if they won't loosen.
