Do you guys know how the TL sounds with resonation and middle muffler replaced with a straight piper and now i was thinking of replacting the 2 rear mufflers with straight pipes. How would it sound?

take it from me, I have a 06 TL and 2 weeks ago did a res and mid muffler delete. 4 days later i was back at the shop and had a glass pack put back in. you wont get the sound you want and it will sound super TINNY and you wont be happy. save up and either do a CAI (sweet sound at WOT 3K and higher RPM's) or spend the 400 and get new exhausts with tips.

What about stages 1-3? Do you not like your glass pack system? Got a video of it?

OP, check this out. There's a sound clip of what you describe with the 2 rear mufflers. It's called stage 4.

My stage 3 + Magnaflow mufflers. Sounds ALOT deeper in person.

What I meant to say was, I already removed and replaced the resanator and middle muffler with a straight pipe. It has a nice tone to it, but I was now thinking about also replacing the rear mufflers with straight pipe and leaving the stock tips. What do yall think?

I did the mid muffler delete and resonator delete and have a short ram and it had a weird tinny sound. then i got the rv6 jpipe put on and it sounded like ass around 2-3k i had to get a resonator put back on it sounded horrid..resonator fixed it to an extent but it can still get raspy but at wot it sounds beast...i couldnt imagine the sound with straight piped rear mufflers though i dont recommend it

today i got the resonator and mid muffler deleted off my car, so i guess i have a stage 2 exhaust? anyways, i was thinking about replacing the rear mufflers with the magnaflow ones like jkopuffs. but i was wondering if you have a J-pipe Jkopuffs? or do you just have the stock mufflers, and resonator deleted with magnaflow mufflers?

^^ MM removal and complete deletion of resonator without adding a replacement resonator is Stage 4.

Same here. With no mid-muffler or resonator (combined with the XLR8 v2) at all, my car sounded great at idle, pretty good at full throttle, but horrible at part throttle. Sort of a hollow, nasal sound to it. Went back, had them add back a Dynomax resonator. Now it sounds pretty good.

Honestly don't know, part number wasn't on the receipt. Had it done at a local muffler shop that specializes in custom performance exhaust systems. I believe it was a 12" version. Have to make a sound clip when I get a chance and post it.
