Would either a high flow or oem equivalent 3rd cat be enough to keep exhaust smells at bay associated with PCD’s?

 

I swap the OEM 3rd cat in and out with gutted pre's and when the 3rd cat is in there is no smell at all. There is some smell at cold start but once the cat warms up (takes a few minutes due to distance from the engine) you can't tell at all. Can't speak for aftermarket but OEM works fine.

 

Theres conflicting info some say it doesn’t smell others say it does. Idk.

 

it will reduce the smell a ton versus having no cats, it will smell sweet and like fuel for a bit before the cat warms up. Def. a good option if you are trying to cut the smell down.

 

Will HFPC cause heat soak in turn making the upgrade moot?
