ACTROS P2R is making it but I don't have any specs or pics of it yet. To be honest it's pretty similar to the 2nd gen TL-S one except for one spot.

The high pitched noise/whistle - definitely changed. It is noticeable, but faint compared to what it was and a different pitch. This definitely was the problem and now I'm going to live with it.

I'll do a CAI at some point, just didn't have the scratch this time around.

I don't have a whistle. Maybe you won't either. I put the plastic plug that comes with the P2R in pretty tight.
If you need one you should be able to get an NPT plug at a hardware or plumbing supply store.

my whistling is pretty bad, i mean it's pretty loud in-cabin, and outside it's REALLY loud...
could i buy a NPT plug at Home depot? I tried to search online, but lol the plug is like $1 but shipping is like 3 times it lol
so was just wondering where I could purchase the plug in person.

I fixed my whistling by doing two things:
a) buying a brass 1/8" npt plug at Mendards screwed all the way in (Home Depot has them)
b) Using Red RTV Sealant on the white thermal gaskets
Whistle gone!

the home depot i went to didn't have a 1/8" NPT plug, or maybe i didnt ask the right question. anyway, went to like three different guys and the last guy went to actually measure the plastic plug. 1/8" apparently wasn't the size, and then he said the threads on the plug were really thin so he said it's probably metric. Turns out 10mm is the closest fit. however, anything they had at Home depot had wider threads, so he suggested to just get teflon and locktite.
i ended getting the teflon (you can't have too much teflon around that shit is used for so much stuff!! and then i know someone said to get locktite(blue) but the guy said to get locktite(red); so i got red.
3 layers of teflon and a bunch of red locktite later, no whistling, and that plug is NOT going anywhere.
