Need opinions on this CAI

I've been reading as many cold air intake threads as possible and what I am hearing is that any CAI will do? Some people are saying AEM, K&N, and other companies make the best ones, but they are upper $200's and I'm not looking to spend that much. Others are saying a CAI is a CAI and any one will do the same job. So... I found this one on ebay and I want to get some opinions. Will this CAI make my car sound throatier or add any horsepower? The HP isn't my biggest concern, I just want my car to sound nice.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ACURA...Q5fAccessories

Also, if anybody has any other suggestion for a reasonably priced CAI that would be great.

cai is all the about the filter element and fitment. I bet you the fitment of those ebay shits suck. A pipe is just a pipe.

Ok I have read many post about cai also and I can tell you they are all about the same if you buy a quality product. That would include AEM, Injen, Fujita and possibly a few more. The ebay special ones are very generic and probably not made to specifically fit the TL, I would wait for a deal on the net or the BM. Good luck.

If you love you Acura, just save up get an AEM and don't look back. You can always get half or at least a quarter of your money back when you want to sell it.

Where did you get the AEM V2 for $250 shipped? On Excelerates site the intake alone is like $293.

It looks fine. The K&N, AEM, ect are all way to much $. They all do the same thing with very little gains. Make your own like some people have suggested. Get a tape measure and go buy the tubing and get a really nice filter for the and with some hose clamps. Same as a name brand.

If I were to do it again, I would just buy the parts that this kit is showing. I paid for an AEM V1 and it is a total rip off.

I would love to see dyno results and hear the sound difference between the name brand items and the e-Bay unit. I wonder really how much the consumer is getting raped when buying these more expensive CAI units?
