I'm about to put the type s rear bumper on my 3g base but I'm worried about the fitment of the base exhaust on my the type s bumper since i don't have the type s exhaust. Also can i just keep my base exhaust and replace the tip with type s tip?

yes but for the cost you might as well get an aftermarket exhaust. Or just get OEM look alike tips and have them welded on.
