Mod Nubie

I'm just getting started on MODing my Baby. I don't want to anything to her that will damage her. Here's what I want to do: Lower; 1.5" to 2.0", clean aggressive exhaust note , and air flow, in that order. That is it for now.

Do you have any suggestions? All are welcomed.

Suspension:
Springs:
1.5" - H&R sports
2.0" - H&R Race

Coilovers:
Tein Basics/SS
H&R Coilovers
H&R Springs + Koni Yellow Shocks

Exhaust options: Greddy Evo, ATLP Cat-Back Exhaust , Excelerate Cat-Back or Comptech in the future.

Intake: AEM CAI is on top of the game. Great filter, competitively priced, Carb legal.

Can you provide more info about your TL? TL or TL-S? 2.0" is pretty aggressive and the stock shocks won't last long. As Mike said, H&R has about a 1.5" drop.

AEM's cold air intake is very good choice; it makes great power and is very high quality.

well it kind of depends on how much you're willing to spend. Aznbo is absolutely correct about the drop.

but for just a different exhaust note you have options that vary in from 60$ with no gains to $1200 with some gains.

agreed, you really have to take into consideration what you want. looks, or performance. cause you will pay either way. also, for the 1000+ that you can spend on an exhaust, the ammount that you actually feel wont be too much.

I thought it too aggressive.
My TL is a 3.2 270 hp, 2004 base, rolling on kumho 245/40/17s.
I checked out the H&R springs and the coilover. They have recieved good reviews, thanks for that suggestion.
In addition, If you know, how much of a hp gain will the CAI give her? The research tells me 5-10. Is it true or are the pulling a slow one?

Nice, congrats on the car !! However before others chime in I'll be the first to tell you that ALL 04-08 base 3.2L (non type-S) make 258hp. In 06 they changed the way hp is measured thus changing the rating from 270 - 258, but the engine is exactly the same thus 258 hp for ALL...

i reciently did the CAI and exhaust on mine, and CAI is a must. quicker response, much throatier sounding. if u plan on doing exhaust, do a cold air with it. plus, u can install it urself in like 3 hours. but ya, i think around 8 whp is resonable
