I keep hearing about people saying "mid muffler delete" and "resonator delete" what is this? I have never heard of such a thing...can someone explain what it is and the process to do it??

Does it make it sound similar to a g35 or like a fart can civic? lol...

 

removing the mid muffler and resonator and replacing with a Dynomax resonator sounds G35ish.

 

I removed mid muffler ad replaced with Aero AR25 and it sounds better than ag35

 

This setup sounds sick. I have heard it in person. Deeper than G35, IMO. No drone. Aero resonator FTW!

 

No one is telling me what this consist of? What it costs? what you have to do?
I saw a video on youtube and the guy claimed it cost him $30-$50 to do.

I just want to do JUST the resonator, but what does this get me?

hp gains?
Fart can noise? or g35 style or louder?
bad emmisions?
I mean what does a oem resonator and aftermarket resonator actually do?

 

This is the must read exhaust thread read. OEM setup is a mid-muffler, which keeps the tone/db's in the non-existent range. Dynamax and Aero resonators do the same thing, but are optimized to keep flow and back pressure...oh, and they are much more compact and probably lighter.

 

so what do I get if I just replace the resonator with a dynomax resonator?

horsepower gains?
how low does the exhaust note become,similar to aftermarket exhaust or ust like g35 loud?
will it still pass e testing?

I am oh so curious...please help!
