J37A4 swap possible?

here is the thought that i have been pondering ever since i got my TL-S 6mt. is it possible to swap the J37 out of the new Tl sh awd into the UA7? i come from the swapped civic land and already know that anything is possible. but im just wondering if anyone has already done it and if its even possible.

thanks a head of time for any replies.

theres a j35a8 in an 04 accord making 300+ whp....so i would have to say a j37 in a ua7 is definitely possible, just need to find the right guys for the job.

I don't think the J37 will bolt up to the TL-S 6MT Transmission.

Your best bet is building up your J35 and boring it out,

While you could do it, it would be a LOT of money. It wouldn't even make sense for what you'd gain. Although you'd be AWD, the cost would probably be ridiculous. You'd be much better off just building the J35 into a J37. You could probably turbo the 3.5 for the amount you'd spend on getting everything working properly with the J37 and AWD swap.

Oh and Tyler you're right, the AWD tranny doesn't bolt up to the J35.

why? The only reason for that swap would to put the very good SH-AWD system and put it in a sexier shell (3rd gen)

Unless you got the J37 engine for free I don't see how the extra 19 horsepower would be worth all the hassle. For extra power without all the hassle go for some form of forced induction. Just my two cents.

^^definately, for the trans parts, shaft, etc alone would cost more than 12k-15k. Not to mention the fabrication to the chassis to allow for awd. U will have to tear out your whole interior and then some. In all you are looking at about 25-30k in parts with labor i would assume considering i have had j-engine builds etc and know a quite a bit about how much things will roughly cost.

my vote keep ur clean Tl-s the way it is and boost it

if you are going to use a J37, the one from the 2012+ MDX has better materials and such and as well design to improve mid range torque by A LOT!

Bolting up an J37 isn't going to be easy since I doubt their housings match. You could always build yourself a J37 out of a J35 or even do a custom J38 or something.
