so I just got a J37a2 to swap into my 08 TL type s and i got the engine for a good deal with low miles but my rear valve cover is broke so Im wondering will my J35a8 rear valve cover work or will the valve cover from a j37a4 from the 4g TL work the engine i got is from an RL and the part number is different from the 4G TL rear valve cover but i cant find a RL one. they’re both 3.7 so im wondering if the 4G TL rear cover will fit or if my 3.5 valve cover will

 

J35A8 and all older style valve covers are different. You can use TL SH-AWD or 10-13 MDX valve covers. The 09-10 TL SH-AWD front valve cover is painted, so it's the best option for the front.
