Totally. You can pretty much say screw the engine's natural powerband. You can shape it however you like it by adjusting the spool characteristics. If you changed nothing over the old setup, the new one would feel lazy but as you mentioned, make it spool half a second quicker and it will more than make up for the loss in compression.

all the parts are in. rodney picked up the type s heads yesterday. assembly of the block is underway then rebuilding the heads with the kms valvetrain. once the the new motor is done they will swap motors and we are good to go. a day or 2 of tuning then im flying to florida to pick the car up and drive back to ny
