J&R Turbo 5AT TL Dyno
I went to Speedworld in Baldwin and did 3 pulls on their DynoJet after street tuning the car for the past week with a higher psi map.
My boost gauge showed a peak boost of 10.2 psi on the dyno. On the street I regularly see 11+psi. So Im probably running another 10-20whp and few more ft/lbs of torque on the street.
My wideband shows high 11s and low 12s throughout the entire rpm range. The wideband at the dyno showed mid 11s then mid 12s after 6000rpms. I believe my gauge is more accurate since its much closer to the heads then the tailpipe sensor the dyno uses. Either way its good.
Best run 408whp 333tq
Click to zoom then click the magnifying glass
JandRperformance FTW

I left the smoothing off so you could see how good the A/F looks.
As for the wheels, they are not gonna fit. Thanks anyway

No closed loop tuning yet. A few wires need to be spliced from the harness and re routed to give the fic control to skew the voltage to the 02sensors.
You will be using the 02 map in the fic.
Rodney has the closep loop tuning working flawlessly on his car. he sent me a few vids. Waiting for him to fine tune it on the dyno and he will send us maps and instructions on how to do it

I commented in the other thread on the dyno load being the reason you see less boost on the dyno. I also have a feeling your car is making considerably more torque than the dyno is showing.
Keep in mind, you're well over 450hp at the crank. That's awesome.

I'm so glad J&R created this turbo and I hope everything stays that way because it has created life for the 3G TL. Without it, I'm not sure if several members would still have there TL.
I'm hoping for more people to purchase this kit (IHC) to further R&D it so once I get enough funds I know what to buy and what I need done even though I prefer whine than spool.

Yeah I know. I meant to say those cars with bolt ons. The new(old) Mustang 5.0

Just a comparison between the 8psi tune vs the 11psi tune.... From 60 to 100, I get to 100 5mph faster with 11psi vs 8.

That's impressive! Just a quick question, the A/F ratio's and the bumpy curves for the 3-4K range, is that normal? I though the A/F ratio should be below 13 at all times, at one point it's near 18!

^ yea i noticed that too, Are you running the AEM boost solenoid that came with your TRU Boost. I was running the TRU boost but using a GM boost solenoid (typhoons and syclones oem solenoid) and boost held much better than running the AEM on my subaru. I was wondering if TL's held boost well running the aem solenoid?

Sweet numbers! I like the gauge placement!, I am going to do the same... thats so good money in gauges! Where did you tap the trans temp prob into? i was thinking of doing mine in line out to the trans cooler.

Like I said before, the shops sensor was in the tailpipe and my sensor is much farther upstream. I do not trust the shops sensor very much.
Picture this if you will. The dyno operator brings the car up to about 3k rpms in 3rd gear and holds it for a few seconds. In perfect conditions the a/f should be at 14.7. On my car it will bounce between 14.3 and 15.3 trying to find 14.7. The dyno operator then goes wot, a/f goes super rich (as seen on the graph when it hits 10s) since the fuel pump is now running at 100% b.c of wot and a crushed fuel pressure regulator. Once wot, the FIC takes over and adjustments the fuel according.
Look at this video. I made this video while I was street tuning the car for 11psi and meth. This is how I make adjustments to the fuel map. This is a very similar run the dyno runs but with more load on the motor. Watch the A/F at 3000 when wot

Listen to the above video I posted. You can hear the wastegate dump open about around 8psi and 3700rpms.

Videos of the dyno runs. A/F gauge typically reads richer on the dyno then the street. Thats why youll see high tens low 11s in these vids and high 11s low 12s in the other videos on the street. turn the volume up
