Intake Install
Intake Install
I want to get the CAI for my TL-S, but i am just too darn lazy to do it myself. Weekend is my only time to play some golf in this beautiful weather.
So i am trying to find a good fab/mod/tuning shop that will do a good clean install in northern NJ.
Any recommendation?????????
Thanks in advance.

Like i said, time is money as well.
My wife just picked up golf, and it's been super fun playing with her and couple of friends.
To me time with family is much more important that spending hours for my car no matter how much money i can save..
So any recommendation??

You can go to one of my good friends shop up in Fort Lee. He is a TL enthusiast and does awesome work. And the plus side is, you can see his sick TL. He does very good quality work, just had him install my lightweight pulleys. PM me if you want his info, you will not be disappointed if you get work done by him. Plus, he is right by the GWB, which makes it even better for you.

to him.
ok, I finally have some time to install my AEM CAI...
Anyone free this weekend? or whenever? I don't feel like removing the front bumper by myself, as my clumsy ass would def. scratch it...
Plus I need to take my time, as the stock will be going back eventually.

Mmmh... I am free right now, tomorrow... And saturday.. Although saturday is tentative
Did Jguerra23's install with a fucking blanket and a 10mm rachet...
For urs I am sure you wouldn't mind driving to thewanderer315's crib in jersey for an install on a lift so I don't get my shoulders dirty..
Let me know.. you know where to reach me

lol.. you dont need to remove the bumper, but it sure does make the install easier... especially on the 07+ Type-s... that resonator portion is a PITA to squeeze out of the wheel wheel ....
Al, thank you for the offer!
I'm at work 9-6, mon-fri, so getting done during weekdays, like today will be hard, eventhough I do work in Jersey.
Saturday sounds excellent for me. I was waiting on my boy's shop to finally have a free lift for me, but he has been busy every weekend. I have no problem doing this myself, but it would be easier for me to do this with someone who already have done this install numerous times, and I do not want anything yanked out (yes, Al, no crowbar lol)... (Plus I really don't want to be under the car, I've done this too many times in my 2G, always came home looking I've been climbing thru chimneys.)
Let me know about this Saturday/Sunday.
And if this fails, lol, I'll do this myself.

Oh wait I yank shit out, if you ever want to go back to stock you have to do it with the front bumper being removed, I just brake the tabs off and pull it from underneath which is why it takes under an hour
But if you don't want to go back to stock using the pieces that came out hit me up, cuz after I am done the 20lbs or so of plastic is garbage.. But yea if I ever sell the car I'll just buy the stuff off some aziner who has it in his garage

I am over here in Yonkers, NY and need someone to install an AEM CAI, UR crank pulley, Progress rear sway bar and the ATLP J-Pipe anyone got any suggestions as far as someone within the 10-15 mile radius who would be good for all of this?
This is for an 08 TL Type S btw.
Thanks,
Dinis
