CAI Install done.
I did my CAI today on 05 AT, Im so bad with cars, it took like 4 good hours. Big thanks to Sandiegodrive!
Can hardly tell any difference in performance but that sound is so worth it.
A few notes on install:
Sandiego didnt mention anything about the vacuum hose or whatever that thing is called, but you have to pry it off from the crankcase and coolant hose before you can take the hoses off.
Dont forget that coolant spills out like crazy when you take the hose out! Lol i totally forgot and that shit went everywhere. I tried to wipe as much up as I could, hopefully it doesnt hurt anything, car seems to run fine. I want to add more coolant. Can I just put any engine coolant in or is there a specific kind for acura?
Intake box seems impossible to get out without taking the battery out, but just jiggle it around, you have to bend some stuff but it comes out.
Front bumper lol. Remember which layer goes on top/bottom, etc otherwise it wont line up properly.
Questions:
Is it suppose to make that cough/pump shutoff sound when you shut off the engine?
What did you guys do with your old intake? I was thinking of just throwing it out.
On a side note, you guys ever work on your car and notice shit is missing? LIke screws, clips, bolts? I believe its the dealership service guy, I had some stuff replace and guess they forgot and didnt care enough to put it back in.

1. I use Acura coolant. but you can go to your honda dealer for honda coolant, its the same thing. Nothing beats OEM fluids.
dunno if you need to purge the system or just add to the overflow. someone else will chime in on this.
2. It kinda makes like a woosh sound right? when you shut it off? but the extra sound is due to the resonator you took out. The box looking thing is the resonator, not the air filter box, and it reduces noise, so thats why you hear it now.
3. I got some minor missing parts on my car too. not much you can do but buy new ones or if you dont need it just leave it.
4. i would keep the stock intake or even sell it because someone might need it to put theirs back to stock. you might want to keep yours too if you need to put it back to stock someday.

I'd hold onto your stock intake too just in case you have to go back to stock. You can use OEM coolant but any long life coolant is usually fine in cars... I've used the Prestone 50/50 mix in every car from the race STi to my work truck with great success.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
