Icebox for 3G TLs
Icebox for 3G TLs
For those of you still waiting for the 3G Icebox, here's the latest from Comptech. Just got the e-mail yesterday.
"Yes there will be an icebox for the 04 and up TL’s. Unfortunately, because of everything being released for the 06 Civic SI and Ridgeline, the TL ice box has been put on hold. I would expect to see it after the first of the year. Once again I apologize for the delay. "
I see they don't really seem to be hurrying to get it out. In April, they told me it would be out in a couple of months.

And I've been harassing Comptech on this too. 3 years and no Icebox!!!
Just wondering...what would be the interest, or even if there is any potential benefit of having a custom air induction box created such as a gruppeM one, or an ArC?
I'm saying this because the stock box is already pretty free flowing, if you take out the resonator and the pipping, you can just custom fab a pipe that goes from the stock airbox, to the front left, lower grill area and act as a ram air tube, without the risk of hydrolocking.
Any input?

I say keep waiting if you want to but what the point. Its just not high priority when you have so many other cars out there that respond to mods better and have a bigger interest like the TSX, civic, RSX. If anything I would think they would be seeing what mods they might have to make to see if the SC will fit on the 3.5 typeS layout. We have enough CAI's out that are pretty good. The design can only get so much better because they did a great job on it form the factory. The only thing now is that most of us can't go through puddles with the aftermarket ones like we could with the factory one

Comptech ICEBOX is over rated, I'm an AEM CAI fan.
