JOES05tl, nevermind my question above. I got my question answered by ComptechUSA.

1:37pm EST
Just spoke to the technican over at ComptechUSA. It is believed after 3 weeks of intensive research between ComptechUSA and Hondata of trying to reflash the ECU to resolve the SURGING issue. The results came back negative and at this point, no solution to resolve the surging issue yet. As for REFLASHING the ECU, it's mainly targetted for TLs without S/Cs for better enhancement and the talk of Stage 2 or adding more horsepower to the S/C TL came back negative.

Everyone with a supercharger needs to contact hondata and tell them we need the reflash just as bad as the NA. Regardless of them telling us not to call, it wont be a bother on when the reflash will be done it will just let them know that there is potential out there. By the way wasnt comptechs TL supercharged with a reflash?

why would you call when they specifically said not to? why dont you just let them figure out how to make everything work instead of being bothered

Oh sh*t, here we go, I said not bugging them when the other will be done. If you look closer at this thread it says dont call to ask when they will be releasing there reflash. I said call to let them know about a demand for f/i TLs. They just dont want everyone bugging them about when the reflash will be done. I just want them to know that there is a demand for a reflash for the supercharged TLs. Read closely before you post.

considering they are working with comptech and their superchargers one would assume they are doing something about it. i was given two scenarios when i was down there...one for the n/a, one for the s/c...

I just had the assumption that they had no plans for the f/i TLs. Or it would be up in the air. I just think that people who are serious about mods in a TL, and would consider a reflash that would void the warranty, more with f/i would be interested, I might be wrong but I can name a few right now. I just want more power and I will never be satisfied, I know I guess I am addicted to speed!

Not only are they working with Comptech, but Doug, one of the owners, has a SC TL, so he knows that the issue needs to be addressed. Let them do the work and DON'T bug them about it. It will all come in due time. Calling them at this point is not going to make it happen any faster and may upset them and not want to help out the TL community.

Doug mentioned something about that...either they already had one or it was going to be out soon...I cant remember as I was busy the day my car was tested. He also mentioned the hood modification the Thunderhill TL had on...kept the engine 20 degrees cooler.

What car is the radiator cap for? If I do it, I want to do all three. Which model, year, motor civic/prelude are these for. The 4th gen prelude had the H23 and H22. I don't even want to get into the # of engines in the civics, but in the 96-00 there where 4 or 5 different engine codes. So that might help alittle.

Personally, I want to do the Spoon Sports radiator cap. Its a 1.35 BAR vs the 1.3 BAR of the Mugen. I am trying to verify which cap will work on the TL. The spoon offers a D-Type and a F-type. For Mugen there is one without a B2 on it and the one with the B2. It looks like the none B2 is for the TL, so this would make it so the D-Type Spoon Cap would work for those that would like to use Spoon!

Now that I've had the reflash on for a few days- The red line is less that 7500, more like 7350, right before 7500. Bottom end feels smoother, more mellow, but the top end just pulls and pulls.

Great to hear man. Even tho its a bit less, just think of it as safer for the engine haha. Cant wait for them to release it to everyone!
