I have 06 Acura TL Base with AEM V2 and RV6 V3 J-Pipe. bought the Greddy EVO2 catback about 3 months ago from a member here.

Today, I have installed the Greddy EVO2 full catback from Rick's Carline muffler shop..I love it especially the rear mufflers/tips and the loud throaty sound, also no rasps from the catback..However, it has alot of drones inside the cabin ..

Any suggestions on how to remove or lessen the drones? Do I need a resonator - which one?

It's focused on rasp, but it'll help with drone as well.

I have a magnaflow resonator from my last set up sitting around I could sell you, it was only installed for 1k miles or so. I'll look up the part number when I get a chance, pm me if interested.

 

I had a 22" resonator on my catback, it killed the drone. quietened down the exhaust and took out the rasp out of my cat less exhaust. The part number is 10436.

 

Assumed you had Greddy EVO2 catback before..where did you place your resonator? is it after the J-Pipe or by mid-muffler?

Did you lost any power? How was the sound after you've installed the resonator? still deep, throaty when revvin'..

 

Not sure yet I should consider Magnaflow #12640 instead of #10436.

 

Anyone have installed this Magnaflow#12640? Will it fit under the TL's?

Has anyone tried this race muffler to kill rasps and drones.?

 

i've tried this twister race muffler and it works great..but it's not for Greddy EVO2.. im going to remove the race muffler and replaced with the Magnaflow#12640..

 

PROBLEM SOLVED !

I removed the Twister race muffler and replaced with Magnaflow#12640. This resonator eliminated the drones/rasps and quiet down the beast Greddy EVO2 catback..I'm very pleased with the outcome.. " Happy Wife..Happy Life.."
