Resonated or non? Excelerate/Billy Boat owns all others when it comes to symmetry and tidyness. Love the way the cans are flatter than Comptech's.

I've got the resonated as well. It had some minor drone at first, but it doesn't bother me at all now. You should notice a little more top end power, but the real gains will be recognized when you add the J and test pipes.

I just bit the bullet and ordered a resonated Excelerate exhaust for my 08 TL-S. He is throwing in the billy boat cone in case I get some drone since I am running pre cats and a 3rd cat delete. Will post video after

Actually, your car should drone less after removing the 3rd cat. At least mine did.

 

anx1300c- Sweet! I was just concerned with what people said as far as it almost being un-tolerable as a daily driver due to droning in low RPM range. I hope it sounds sexy with the pre cat deletes and all haha

Also just a heads up to any XLR8 resonated exhaust customer who wants it; we have devised a resonator cone to help reduce that little bit of low RPM drone that can occur. I will send one out to you free of charge if you want one. It will come standard on all future resonated exhausts b/c we assume most ppl who are buying resonated want it a little quieter. But all the non-resonated exhausts won't have it.
