C/T S/C Tune?

So what do i need to do and get when i buy a supercharger for my 08 TL/base. All i know is that i have to move the battery to the trunk is that right? And idk about all this tuning things, can some one plz fill me in. Idk any one in michigan, that does this? And i understand most ppl with S/C on thier TL have 5-6 psi. Would it be a big diff to go to 8psi and nothing would happen? Thanks alot of ur help guys.

you should read a coulple S/C threads.
don't need to move battery to trunk but need to mod the tray a little
tunes don't really exist yet, but some are close
I think it's more like 4 psi and not capable of pushing a lot more

5-6 PSI is all the comptech ACM and motor together can handle otherwise your are going to blow your motor with anything more.

With the Comptech S/C, you will need a smaller battery, and hook up the comptech ACM, as well you might need to do sanding of a small plastic piece on the radiator fan shroud.

As mentioned you need a smaller battery (a Civic battery): a 51R. Also it comes with everything you need to bolt it on and start the car, except for the battery.

If you need a S/C kit let us know.

the hondata reflash is where the comptech ACM is eliminated, and the factory ECU is hacked so it does the same thing, but better. All surging is elimated, all CEL's are elimated, and more power is made with the same boost. Its very good, but it has to be done on a 1 by 1 basis, meaning you will have to drive the car to shawn at church automotive, pay him and he will take it to hondata to reflash it.

That's the downside to the kit IMO, no mail in ECU program, and no boost until 4K. A great idea is to call in/contact Hondata and show serious interest, the more interest, the more chance the reflash project returns. I wish Comptech would push from their angle as well. I think the reflash would boost up sales a little.

I get 3.5-4.0 psi boost as long as i move the pedal enough to close the wastgate/recirculation valve all the way. After 4K the dual stage intake changes to a runner of less volume, which gives a mild supercharging effect, then there is 4.5-5.0psi.

To my knowledge the CT SC bypass opens up at 4K, allowing positive pressure into the TB. The ACM tricks the car to crossover Vtec from 4700 to 4000 rpm's. So the way I understood it, both boost and Vtec crossover kick in at the same time. I could be wrong, I always thought this was why people comment on the "surge" behavior of the kit.

I thought VTEC transitioned to 3.5K? If not, why not do just have VTEC on from 3.5K on, the car at 25% throttle will usually shift at 3.5K, so in every-day driving it won't surge, but when you want power, the cams will be aggressive to where you can benefit from the boost.

Yeah I might be wrong, just trying to remember what I've read here. I thought the Hondata reflash changed the crossover earlier than 4K, but the CT ACM brought it to 4K. I'd have to go back through the past threads.
