I think i am just going to run the turbo asis just because the seller of the turbine housing is lagging so bad. I emailed him and asked for pix and i will buy it. No response back. I called and talked to him on friday andnasked for pictures and no response back. He did tell me that he used a garrett .63 housing for for the hx35. He cant get the .70 ar since those are rare and is currently making some .80 ar housing. But after that conversation he raised the price of the housing to 160 instead of 150 shipped.. So I think i am going to say screw it and run the turbo as it.

I bought a turbosmart boost gauge last night. I plan to hook it up to the manifold port so i can see actual boost that is going to the engine after pressure drop from the intercooler. That was I can correct it to run at 6 psi with the boost controller.

O yeah i still have one problem. Since that glitch on ebay I am missing parts because the sellers do not have a record of it on ebay, but they were all paid through paypal. So far only the intercooler and turbosmart boost t was sent out. I really need that intercooler piping also. The o2 sensor was refunded to me last night. I am hoping that the spark plugs will also be sent, but if not i hope they refund me also. I can pick up a set at advance auto parts.

Also tax season is just around the corner. So maybe more money for stuff.

Looking good the parts pile keeps building that's the hardest part (financing it)

I like math so here some equation to calculate air filter size for turbo application

Square inches of filter required = (lbs boost/ 14.7) + 1 x CID x max RPM
20,839

Filter Height= in2 of filter + .75
Filter Dia. X 3.14

how are you going to run the IC piping? A long straigh pipe under or over the IC to feed it, or have it run counter clockwise and then feed into the engine bay and into the throttle body?

Good question. On the passenger side its going to be a U pipe, then straight under near the front of the lower subframe, then a right angle up back to the turbo. On the driver side I would run it like a CAI. BOV is going to be closest to the TB. Unless you guys suggest other wise.

I am going to guess this will cause a large increase in pressure drop after the turbocharger. This is where the Boost controller comes into play, and why I have the boost gauge at the IM instead of off the turbo nipple. So what the engine sees and what they wastegate see are going to be a difference of 0.25-1psi difference depending on how much boost I lose with this setup.

So passenger side is going to be like this

Driver side

and like the upper pipe of this set up

Oil feed. I have no idea where to tap the block for oil. Also I might add a oil cooler in the future if needed.

I would recommend using this for oil feed to turbo this goes in the back of the block by the oil filter unscrew your oil pressure sending unit screw it in and screw you sender back into it and your done just need the an 4 fitting to go into it and AN4 line to turbo and your done this is steel strong and wont strip like the cheap ones

Just like this, look up oil pressure sending unit on Acura parts and that will show you where it's located on a j motor

Thank you both for making me aware that the block is BSP and not NTP. I would have screwed up that big time...

Thinking about using this to hang the intercooler. It is perforated metal hangers straps. Can be bent to any shape and cut to any length.

No that stuff is paper thin, they have 1/8 inch thick 1.5 inch wide steel or aluminum strap that would work much better use steel on the bottom that takes the most stress

Whats the fan for? Are you going to pull air thru the FMIC, or is it to replace the factory fans?

to replace the factory fan on the driver side because the turbo filter sits right up against where the oem fan would go.

got my carbine bit for opening up the turbo down pipe. Going to be a long loud week grinding and pissing off the neighbors trying to get my 2.15in opening. I think 2.0in is doable but not 2.15in. Just too much freaken material to take off.

Here why I am porting it and cleaning up the welds.

Havent been on much lately due to being so slammed with work. But wow this had come a long way. Doesnt it suck just having these parts just sitting around for months not being able to use them?

Sorry I havent been much help lately but here are a few quick pics of my oil feed area. I cant get the best pics because the car is on the ground right now tucked away in the garage ready to get pulled apart. Shoot me a PM anytime you have any questions or want pics etc.

Mine doesnt have much slack at all. Im honestly not entirely sure because the oil feed line was already made and came with the JnR. It cant hurt to have the 51" to give you a little bit more slack. I would recommend an oil cooler. This helps a ton with cooling. There isnt a ton of room in the engine bay so this helps to keep that turbo cool.

The return is strictly done by gravity so you need a nice smooth run from turbo to pan. If you are going premade, get it long and buy another end, or just buy the hose and both ends. When we got these from J&R, that's what he did.

I think you got confused. I was asking about the oil feed.

My return line is short and sweet like u said. Above the oil pan line also. I pour 5qt and marked off how high it went to make sure. But thanks for the reminder

I will look into an oil cooler also. Thanks for the pictures. I am going to have Dom tune the car and then Derek at IMW dyno the car to see what I make. I have a baseline dyno from my last build thread.

What clutch are u running? I was looking at the south bend clutch that XLR8 was offering, but I would like to see how much tq the car makes before selecting clutch.

hook it to the dash illumination wire so it will adjust with the dash lights or get an adjustable resistor
