Clutch replacement in 07 TL S
Clutch replacement in 07 TL S
I know it's been asked be4 and yes i have searched for a while now, but i'm getting confused with all the info flying around. I've heard some ppl say that the Clutch Masters Kit wont fit on the TL S, but some say it does.
I'm in desperate need of a new clutch, mine slips all the way through 3rd gear now. I'm trying to find out for sure if the clutch masters kit will fit and work, because i can't afford to have the car taken apart and then find out it won't work.
If you have helpful info PLEASE POST

i called ..on the website its under cl..they claim its the same part number.. i was worried about this too...but it works fine.. like i said the only thing is when you start the car it will sound funny because of the new flywheels ring gear.. there are no fitment issues at all.

the one for the accord i think is the same...i called and just told them the car i had...the sound is only when you start the car...its the starter turning on the flywheel...i paid 1375 shipped to my house...the pedal feel is a bit harder than stock ..it took me a couple of days to get used to it... but its a smooth engagement in all gears and when taking off...

Yea its about time for my 3rd one to be put in..... the throw out bearing and fork spring was no good when installing the 2nd clutch (first being the original) and it ate up the clutch pretty bad. Im almost at the top when it engages.... I spoke to acura about it because its only been 9k and the tech verified the defects. They said itll be covered under warranty.....but i wouldnt mind getting one that feels good like the stock clutch and has the performance capabilities to keep up with the motor and withstand being burned out as fast as the OEM....I just hope they dont put a shit bearing n fork spring in it this time....Id be really pissed about it. =/

wondering if this is anygood???? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-07...Q5fAccessories
only one. the j32a2 had dual crank sensors. it was more of an experiment if anything that honda tried. my flywheel had the sensors in them, but we unscrewed them. heres the pic of my kit, notice the notches around the flywheel where the sensors were mounted. ]

ehhh... nothing more than an OEM replacement and if thats the case, id stick with OEM.

I checked that out on ebay a few weeks ago too. Clutchmaster seems to be the way to go.
The one thing I don't like about my clutch is that it doesn't always engage at the exact same point every time. Other than that it's good, but just a little annoying once in a while.
I'm seriously thinking about switching my stock for an aftermarket clutch. One question though....because I have a underdriven crank pulley, will that have an adverse effect with a lighten flywheel? I think I read some where a while back about that.
