CAI for 2007 TL Type S 3.5L no MAF

This is first acura, a 2007 TL type S with a 3.5L engine, no MAF. I am trying to put a CAI into the car for better sound and more HP. I have no been able to find a CAI for the 3.5L. I am looking at a short ram, not a long CAI, to prevent sucking in water. Please direct me, THANKS!!!

You'll find out on this forum real quick that a SRI is worth nothing but noise and can/will be more likely to lose power than gain it. Your best bet if you don't want a full up CAI is to just remove the lower half of the stock intake, called the intake resonator and run the rest as stock with a different filter.

there are plenty of threads on here about this so please us the search function and find the info you're looking for.

Thanks for input. I read this suggestion somewhere else. You confirmed it. It already has a k&n filter in stock box. This suggestion cost nothing which is great. I am looking for a little more whp & improved gas miles without spending alot of $$. Your opinion?

I'd like to go out to a nice restaurant and get a big juicy porterhouse steak for $5, but that isn't happening either.

These cars are very expensive to gain power on. No intake is going to improve gas mileage, but opening up the exhaust will yield minor improvements in that regard. PCD's or HFC's and a J pipe would be a good start.

Any suggestion on which CAI to purchase? And how to I keep the noise down to a minimum when changing the exhaust. I would like to be a silent, purring cat that becomes a beast when needed.

aem v2 intake, i guess.

as far as exhaust, if you add pcd's, jpipe, and full catback...it'll be pretty loud no matter what you do.

you can opt for hfpc's, jpipe, and resonated catback...it will be a bit quieter but you won't gain as much power.

Any suggestions on purchasing a Plug-N-Play ECU programmer, and/or performance chip for a 2007 TL type S? Is it worth it and which one to go with?
