Do you have a Base TL with regular brakes and want to upgrade to Brembos, or are you just looking for pads and rotors for your OEM Brembos?

If you have a Base and want a brake upgrade, Brembo is probably not the best option. The OEM Brembos are not a direct bolt on and there are better options for the money.

You might check this out from one of the vendors:

StopTech Big Brake Kit - Excelerate - HOA - Japanese Performance Specialist

If you have OEM Brembos and want a set of pads and rotors, ExceleratePerformance offers those from Stoptech as well. I've also used PowerStop's kit with front and rear pads and rotors and they work great for the money.

Hope that helps.

The base didn't come with Brembos from the factory. Only the manuals and TL-S did. The Brembos aren't a direct swap and the effort needed to swap them over isn't worth the hassle imo. Especially since there are brake packages that are a direct swap and will provide better performance than the Brembos

You could put OEM Brembos on, but you will need rotors, calipers, lines, and knuckles, at a minimum. There may be other parts needed. As BlueBomber said, it's not a direct swap.

The Stoptech kit is MADE for the Base TL - it bolts right on to your existing knuckle. Sometimes aftermarket is better than OEM.

Plus, I believe the stoptech kit has a bigger rotor, so you get better performance than the OEM Brembos.

Our XLR8 Touring Big Brake Kit by STOPTECH is really the best option as it is a larger disc than the TL-S setup, better pads, a larger caliper, better rotors, and stainless steel brake lines.
