Anyone with Comptech Supercharged 3G TL?

Long story short I'm looking into supercharging my 04 6 spd TL. I bought the car as a project car and have done almost every bolt on in the book, porting and polishing, new springs/retainers along with forged pistons for a 10.5 cr. All of these are with the stock ECU, while still maintaining a good a/f ratio. If I do install the supercharger (which I eventually will), what methods of tuning should i use. I had the J&R ecu but it was really buggy so I sent it back. I have the megasquirt 3 and I've read that with the stock ECU it can be tunable. Should I just wait for flash pro to work for 04-06 TL's? Flash pro has an adapter but I need an 07 base TL ECU (I don't have one or plan on buying one). Would it be recommended to just plug and play? If anyone out there has the comptech s/c on their car chime in please!! Thanks ya

I think some of the other guys that are supercharged are just using the AEM FIC or something else that is equivalent. You could've used the JNR for that.

Also, the megasquirt 3 is the same thing as the JNR. The JNR is the MS3X and just includes a harness to adapt it to our cars that shares some of the stock sensors with the stock ECM and then takes control of some of the outputs, such as injectors and the spark plugs.

If you were going to use the MS3 you'd need a base tune and harness, which is what the JNR did for us, you'd basically be re-doing all of the work rodney did with the JNR setup to get your MS3 to work.

If you have a M/T you can use hondata and buy the adapter to get it to work with your harness. Pricey though, at around $1400 or so, but given all of the work it's going to take to get your MS3 to work it'd be well worth it just to go with flashpro.

Alternatively the AEM FIC is like $600 and then the harness is a few hundred on top of that.

Dont use aem. Many members ditched it for hondata . Theres moar tuning software than air n fuel n spark. Im supercharging my type using hondata fp but i will need 410 rdx turbo injectors.

Hondata Flashpro for the win. I had both the CT fuel controller and the JnR ECU on my supercharged TL. The flashpro is worlds better than either of those two. The only thing I would want the JnR ECU for is NOS.

We've installed a number of 3G TL CT-E supercharger kits and used them right out of the box with the ACM. However, if you have the ability to upgrade then I would upgrade to the HONDATA Flashpro. It's a much better, all-inclusive solution. It will allow for more tuning ability and it's safer to run because of the control you'll have.

We'd be happy to put together a package for you for the supercharger kit and HONDATA Flashpro. Just contact us if you're interested.

Not saying it can't be done but you have better control over it with the JnR. This is why Andy (Gerzand) was running both (flashpro and the JnR).
