I have an auto. It's only louder when you want it to be, at WOT. Plus the power gains are great!

WOT??? A friend of mine told me that installing the AEM intake on a one month old TL isn't worthed? Is this true? He also said that since it is not v2, the stock intake is probably the best one for the car? What do you guys think?

aSPECtL06 ,

Not to be rude... just being blunt.

You can listen to your ONE friend with his SINGLE point-of-view, or you can listen to the MANY members here (aka, search on "cold air intake") with a broad area of experience. This is the power of forums on the internet - the collective experience of MANY poeple.

I have been reading the threads that I found via a search on this forum on the phrase "cold air intake". MANY poeple on this board highly recommend the modification. Only on person on this board was somewhat "neutral" regarding his expereince with installing the CAI.

Highly recommend the AEM on the Automatics. (as I did in this thread already I think) And he is right...its only loud at Wide Open Throttle. Beyond that...its pretty mild sounding. Great gain in response though...highly recommend.

^^hmm.. so what's the diff. if the aem/inejn was on the M/T?? Does the AEM react differently on a M/T than A/T?? I have a A/T TL and is plannin to get the Injen.

The pic below is showing the filter when viewed from laying close to the ground and looking slightly upward into the air duct.
