AEM CAI mount to body important?

So, story in a nutshell. I got my AEM CAI used. The seller didn't include the original "mount" that mounts the CAI onto the car. So my shop decided to improvise and screwed it down by a generic screw and a metal washer. It was loose the whole time and it finally came off today. I can't get it back on and I need to be going on a 700km road trip in the car tomorrow. What to do? Am I over worrying? Is this mount THAT important?

Gah I need sleep.

Also, is it possible to re-order just that part from AEM or any source? If so, anyone have a clue on what the product code is?

i guess you are talking about the vibramount... without it the intake tube will be vibrating against the chassis... if I were you i'd get a rag and put it around the area that would be touching the chassis so you dont dent the intake... aside from that... minimal dude... unlike my problem rofl

Keep your RPMs low and you wont have much of a problem.

A shot in the dark back at ya: maybe try to fit the vibramount from your stock intake in between that space? You should have 2 of them lying around somewhere.

if you really really need a vibramount I might have one... but you could also make one yourself....

Lowe's has these rubber isolators. Look in the section where the assorted nuts and bolts are sold.
