Hey guys, one of my friends dad's got an '08 TL type S and he was telling me it has the Brembo brakes on it even though he has an automatic tranny but when it comes to cars he doesnt know the difference between (and especially brakes) a rotor and a caliper. When I went online all the reviews on the car would say "standard brakes" whatever that means. Anyway he is talking all this smack about how his dad's TL is nicer then mine (cause I have an '04 6MT), and with many aspects I know it is, but I didnt think it was on this. Thanks

don't know what kind of question if any you asking. But the type-S does have brembos as their brakes

I think it's only the front brakes that are Brembro, too much freakn break dust

i agree with the brake dust, my back brakes are extremely noisy just after 15k miles.

yea, i can get kind of wordy sometimes, but traditionally on the TL you only got Brembo brakes is you got the 6 speed...the automatics didnt have the Brembos, so I guess my questions is do you get Brembo Brakes on the 2008 Type-S if you get it in Automatic or are the Brembo brakes still only limited to the 6 speeds

I say go for the trade, trade it for an 08 TL-S. Its a big difference in many aspects. Test drive one and you will see

I just leased my 2008 CBP TL Type-S (auto). Yes, it has BREMBO brakes in the FRONT ONLY (and larger discs). Rears are the same as the non-S TL. Lots of brake dust.......I think that's why the Type-S wheels are Gunmetal color (to hide it)!!

I didn't know the UA7 base had upgrading front rotors, that's good to know.
