Accord Type-S build
Drop in some Type-S port and polish heads with 09 MDX camshaft.

out with the old

piston pix

In with the NEW

Here some video. This is when you know you F up your valve lash or when it is time to actually do one. LoL its sooo loud
After we fixed it and cold start again
Now I just need to program my TL ecu for flashpro. Then I can add my 310cc injector, and tune the car

For lube I really recommend the red line assembly lube. It's thick.and doesn't run as much as the other assembly lube I have used
Better atomization since it the newer 12 hole design like the Rdx. Just less CC. 410cc is over kill for my 3.0 motor. Also those 310cc come standard on the 07-08 Tl and TL-s and all new Honda and Acura v6 afterwards.

410cc = E85.

Hmmm, might have to consider upgrading then. They're pretty pricey for what is likely a marginal increase in power/mileage. Does anyone have quantitative data going from stock 270cc 04-06 TL injectors to these 310's?
Hey man, love the idea. I'm doing a swap and would like to bounce a couple questions off you. I have an accord 6-6 too, and I'm doing a 3.5 type s swap. Could I program an auto ecu to work with 6spd? Also would you happen to know if I have to do and modifications to the engine harness?

Okay I just pm you for the type-s swap and who to direct your question to since he just did it a few weeks ago and posted it on v6p
You will need flashpro if you want to run an Auto ECU on a MT. I can help you program the ECU and do the modification to get it to work with an MT accord.

Running TL-S valve train and its runs well most of the time. . Had to enlarge the exhaust since it was holding me back. I wish I went with Bisi stage 2 instead of the MDX camshaft. But the car is quicker after the new mods and tweak.
Had the stupid EGR fail and I thought I had a blown motor. Crank but no start since there was a random shard stuck in between the valve.

What's wrong with the MDX cams? Can it not keep up?
You did the porting yourself?
I'm contemplating on whether I should port the j35a8 heads or just slap them on there. Been reading almost every thread I could find. I guess my concern is would there be an unbalance flow from the heads to the block?

They don't make power past 6500.
I sent it to a shop to get it ported and valve job
Just slap the Camshaft on there. My head flows significantly higher but the OEM camshaft doesn't have enough Lift nor duration to use all that flow.

If you are wondering here is the dyno chart as of May 2015. I am actually make more power since I change up J-pipe and Enlarge the Piping on the Magnaflow Catback since it was 2in at the flange. So i had that chopped off and replaced it a larger one. Dom was tuning it and the car Ran lean on certain spots so that was a good indication of the car making more power. If I were to do it all again I would have started off with a 3in Pipe split down to dual 2.5in.
But as of right now I am working on my wife CRV. There are a ton of K series part that are relatively cheap that I can bolt on. I am thinking about dropping in a tsx valve train so that it can have real dual vtec and modifiying a 2006 honda accord ecu with k-tuner and adapter harness so I can actually have something to tune it with. That should be an easy 30-40whp considering the CRV stock 4wd dyno is around 105-110-whp. Or I can use a RSX/ TSX turbo kit and bump the power close to 300whp with 8psi. The turbo kit itself with the manifold is around 500 bucks from CXracing.

Here is my tq and AFR if you are interestd

I might be planning to redyno in a few months to see where I am at. Hopefully the new exhaust piping and jpipe will net me addition power since it was the source of my bottle next.
I think next mod is either a J35a6 swap and/or Bisi stage 2 camshaft.

oo Just a heads up bisi stage 2 pre and post tuning with ktuner made this much
Gains before tune, with cams and intake: 19whp and 8ft/lbs of torque peak. (factory ECU)
Gains after tuning, with KTuner: Additional 16.4whp and 14.7ft/lbs of torque.
so an extra 35whp and 22.7ft/lbs
