Homeboy is trying to help but if all he got is a phone conversation and nothing else to prove that Hondata is taking this seriously...........it makes it difficult to get on the band wagon

I'd also prepare to have someone in Cali be willing to donate their ride for a period of time to prototype/test on. That's what happened with their last attempt.

A few (several) of us are having issues with unstable idle. For me, I think the factory ECU is messing with the throttle plate while the MS3 is trying to keep up. It is true that it does work well, but you'll be hard pressed to find anyone here willing to hand over the cash.

We will not comment on future products or work in progress with regards to features, release dates or any other information.

While we accept that this can be frustrating to some vehicle owners, past experience has shown us that the premature release of information has a strong negative effect on our work here at Hondata.

No need for a list, there's a demand for it, just need to know crack the code.

They have done the reflash for the ct engineering supercharger at one point, dont know why nothing else has came out after that...

^ True that it may be old, but....why was nothing said by Hondata about it? It's not even listed on their website as an option unless you go to that link...VTEC at 3000? Yikes.

I'm gonna call Hondata during lunch and see what the fcuk is up. I'll get a name of whom I spoke with and what that reflash is all about. With so many inquiries on the J series I wouldn't be surprised if I get hung up on LOL.

I would stock up on 5 units and help distribute if it helps things along. Oh and we are planing on getting a dyno if that changes anything.

Who the hell are you and where are you getting this stuff from if it's not on their website? Lol.

Why didn't Hondata come through with this?! The car gained fcuking 50whp/tq basically. I'm not understanding this at all....they clearly did R&D so why the hell wouldn't they sell this to more people and make this public? I'm completely lost.

I figured that the alpha testers either had drivability issues or went boom.

There were a couple people here running with their trials but I don't know if they're still around or running it.

Hondata did tell me something that only I and a few people know about this motor when they stopped their process and that it was a bail. One problem was lowering the vtec, which Rodney figured out with his ecu and tuning the engine. So say the J32 is simular to a K24 with a K20 head with about the same compression. You get about the same tq but limited RPM in the comparission. Imagine what a Jseries would sound with a vtec lowered, it would sound badass and loud. People who are more expereinced on this motor can also chime in, including builders. F/I like Superchargers with a lower vtec can chime in.

*CT-E put out 4lbs when most K can put out 9-10lbs on their stage 2
*The J-motor could handle 10 lbs of boost but for how long?

We've seen Rodney tested this out on their project TL. A lot of guys like Rodney could be a good member and actually have ties with this forum and speak up, he know's a thing or two about it as well through the years of him building these motors.

^right, but even Honda figured out in the TL-S that increasing vtec to about 5k helps create a smoother torque band.

base TLs vtec at 479x RPM
while the TL type-s Vtecs at 4995 RPM

lowering that value wouldnt be so great on torque.
