3.80 final drive

I've been a bit busy at work so I didn't get a chance to call Marcus yesterday. I am going to call him today (I know he has been very busy as well ) and see if I can exchange my OEM for the FX250. I'm guessing I will have everything needed by the middle of next week. If so, I should be able to get it installed the end of next week. I anticipate the 1st drive to be in 2 weeks.
I could theoretically get it installed within the next couple days, but it would be silly for me to continue using the stock clutch when I am going to be consistently launching on DRs.

I got a quote from a shop in CT for $250, but I wasn't going to make the 3+ hour drive. King Motorsports, where ILC had his work done usually charges $200 based on their site, but I wasn't going to ship it there either. I was told by a few places they would have to open up the trans first in order to give me a quote. Another place quoted me $3K lmao. I ended up going to a shop that specializes in transmissions & spent $495. I was hoping to pay less, but at the same time I wasn't too upset about it because they cleaned the trans & the piece of mind that they specialized in transmissions was nice. They also cleaned it, which I'm happy about. Not to mention the fact that it's done!

Spoke with Marcus: Should have the clutch the week of the 16th. He has an FX200 kit that he's sending to CM to be replaced with the FX250 and shipped directly to me. I already told my guy I was waiting on the clutch so I should be good to have it installed that week. Cannot waittttt.

I'm really looking forward to this one. Are there any other NA Js in the 12s? Even if you run a 12.99, that would be amazing.

I'm also thinking about things to increase traction like raising the rear and/or stiffer rear springs. I have been on stock struts and Tein S techs for about 80k now. I will also install the Innovative front mount most likely.

To my knowledge there are none. I'll be honest...I can't see myself going to the track until the Fall. Reason being, I still need DRs/cutout/retune. I gotta give my wallet a few months off, plus the weather will be too hot for an all motor car over the summer. But I don't think I will have an issue running 12.9x with my current mods and this FD in Fall weather.

12.90's with 108-109 traps will be solid. That's enough to catch "modern" stock domestic muscle off guard. Hell, I've seen automatic Camaro SS's running mid/upper 13's @ 105 and 5.0's running 13.30's @ 108. And then you've still got room to grow with cams and heads after that!

There is only one i know of over on v6p. I believe his name is STheman. Went 12.8 or 12.9 on street tires. NA but he has a j36 in his 7th gen accord coupe.

Simione dropping bombs! Can't wait, brother. Gonna be sick.
I forgot about STheman. He has a J36 with Dual TBs; car is a beast.
I hate cars: I haven't touched the internals yet My car is full bolt on / stock heads / stock cams.

Just an FYI, guys, Sonnick spoke to someone from Mfactory, and they are willing to make a final drive for the J. They estimated the cost to be between $7-800. They need a minimum of 10 SERIOUS buyers. That's pretty awesome considering that MFACTORY is the $hit for honda final drives. He started a list over on V6peee. I'm sure if you pm him he would add you to the list

Not quite certain what fd is used, but the ring gear is drilled , and the pinion and the other smaller gear (tranny oil pump drive gear I think) All came in sealed honda packaging with the part number stickers taken off of them. Pretty sure all 3 parts came from the same vehicle.
