Well if you buy the kit and attempt it, you'd have to get a custom tune
Ur best bet would be find a shop to do install + tune in a package deal
Hell low ball them install + tune $500 (imagine that)
For tuning there are limited choices
Greddy blue
Apexi afc neo

lol.. just got charged 1500 for istall on my g35 well and tune... ii used a utec with my g.... i just have read that the comptech s/c kit now wont fit on 08 type s.... i can get it installed and tuned no problem....i know a guy...lol well he does good on nissans and porshce and ferrari and lambos
SC will fit no problem, its getting it to run correctly on the Type S that is the problem. It might even run perfect, i just don't think anybody has attempted it yet. and isnt this your gf's car i saw you post in another thread?
S/Cing a TL-S is going into the unknowns. The kit will bolt up, but it might not function right:
1. Can the fuel pump and injectors handle it?
2. Can the new Type-S motor handle it?
3. Can the Type-S transmission handle it?
Also then you have to get:
1. Custom tune via piggy-back, thats going to be tons of money, and your car might not even run right afterwards. Bottom line is that the Type-S needs a knowlegeable person with some deeper pockets.

For one...the PCM on these new J35's are even harder to tinker with.
My theory, Somehow, someway that ECU will override whatever type of boost you put.
It's best to stay NA unless you want to throw some money and do some R&D.

The I mean't to say VCM.
But the 6-speeds may not have it so you might have some luck with a plug and play piggyback system.

yeah its my gf car but its been 7 years now so im pretty sure were going to be together...plus its hers cuz she pays for it... i still drive it whenever i want..lol..... and she will let me mod it.....
on the tranny issue i know im my cl-s swapped av6 i went through 2 trannies witth it and i was only at 331 bwhp 331trq... then i got smart and got a tranny cooler and never had another problem...ended up selling b4 i did the 6spd swap.....
now on my G its an auto as well and im having to do a valvebody upgrade for smoother and faster shifts... i bang off rev limiter now or have to shift to early..... couldnt i just get one of these made for the tranny issues.... and whats the difference really between the type s and non type s....i know the obvious but other than maybe tuning? and on my G i have a utec as my piggyback and its lets me do more than enough with 5 diffferent maps to choose from so id probly go with that or a unichip since my tuner is a unichip dealer

J32 ECU
Same Trans as 04-06
ECU logic like 06 TL
Same Size injectors as the 04-06
Same fuel pump, etc.
The TL-S probably has the same injectors, rails and fuel pump so its already closer to the limit. Plus it has a new transmission that hasn't been really tested as far as when it breaks.
^ dont think anybody has stated tranny issues with Type-S yet..
i honestly drive really aggressive... this tranny is a BEAST... but, i have been noticing, when the car is cold, tranny shift is loud & hard (out of park) and my fluid has turned a slight tint of brown (19k on the car)
i think its actually very possible, and the money wont be THAT much more... just figure at least an extra $500+ For Greddy & Harness, and then anywhere from $500 - 1000 for a good solid tune
So $1500 extra for Type-S guys (ballpark) on top a of new blower thats $4500 (used for $3k) its quite possible.. i've been thinking long and hard and not getting wheels again, and investing into doing this... I really dont think these two TL's are THAT much different.. i think Acura just did us type-s guys a favor, by boring out the engine to 3.5L and adding a stronger tranny
Then why doesnt Comptech offer/sell this Supercharger? B/C they are pansies about the market share , and costs of R&D. I dont want to hear there isnt enough interested, b/c i know, if they sold a complete TL-S Kit, at least 20-40 people would be buying it upon its release to the public..... 40 people x up to $5k = $200,000....
Dont be discouraged man.. if you got the $$ , i think it can be done...apparntly you gotta turbo G, so you know the deal... stay confident...
my damn
on the whole type-s supercharger
if he doesnt do it, i'll be the first
