Guys, thanks for all the info this site is sick- I do have one more "issue" before I order this thing- On a CAI- however the "whistle"- how bad is it? I have read alot of threads and it seems to come up alot, its "normal". Is it annoying like a freakin Neon with exhaust? does it get "ricer" attention, like its too much?- please share- or even post a vid would be awesome- thanks guys

I have aem v2 never herd the whistle

 

you barely notice it with the windows down in 1st, maybe 2nd gear. I forgot all about it until I read one of the recent threads talking about it.

 

You're gonna wish the whistle was louder!

It's not that bad, I have the fujita and can barely hear it now with the exhaust.

Its no big deal....I wouldnt even worry about it. I only noticed it for a day after I put it on. Not really worthy of comment its that minor. No kidding. (this was all before S/Cing the car as it is now...of course I hear a whine now)

 

get the CAI. The whistle is only evident during moderate throttle. You can control it pretty well and even make it whistle at different pitches, its kind of fun.

More importantly the intake screams at higher throttle. You'll forget about the whistle after listening to the tune of induction.

 

u will want to hear the scream than the whistle... it is addicting...

 

you wont hear it at all if you have the windows up. and even if you do have the windows down, your radio will cover it. its nothing to worry about.

 

This is great info. I was kind of concerned about putting one in my car because of sound. The one I put on my wife's hemi jeep is loud, but the one on my 550hp dodge cummins makes it sound like the turbo is riding in the seat next to me. Thanks for the great info. Tac

 

no whistle here either. I do get a deep groan when I get on it.

I have AEM V2 I have never heard any whistle.. Ever

 

Had a huge whistle...catback took care of it.
