Is the exhaust legal? does it meet the sounds levels needed for CA? are there any legal issues to worry about?

And can i put this on myself with a jack and standard tools?

is it possible to cut off the greddy tips and weld on the stock tips to keep the stock look of the car so if cops decide on pullin me over i can jus say..hey the car came like this factory..idk what ur talking about lol..jus curious

 

I've never gotten pulled over for an exhaust so I would'nt worry dog. (I'm from the same hood as you)

 

ayethetiense - I believe it is legal. Somewhere in the original thread, Chris said it was 91 db (maybe 92)...legal is 94. My numbers may be off one or two, but this exhaust tested 2 below the legal db limit.

trancemission - call me a cynic, but I don't forsee all those people shelling out. Guess we'll see in a week.

PeteThaPitbull - I'm sure you could, but if you were going to do that, why don't you just get two GReddy cans and have a local shop build an exhaust and splice your stock tips onto it?

What the hell you're from Stamford? I've never seen you. Are you modded because I remember hearing a TL with intake when I was out one night in Stamford, but it was a couple blocks away. It sounded awesome with the sound bouncing off the buildings.

^^^It should as the RJSD exhaust outlets are the same size as stock. The only difference is you would have less of the muffler showing from the side since the RJ kit is an inch and change lower than the ASPEC kit (which is some slight amount lower than stock).

No, this will actually be my first mod. There's a really sick modded black TL driving around Cove all the time. I've tried to see if he's on these forums but haven't really found anything. His car looks gorgeous, I don't know if he has any performance mods.

Alright guys, now is the time for US to shine and step up to the plate. Regarding the weight, this is insignificant. Lighter than Comptech for sure due to removal of unnecessary resonator/mid muffler with full SS piping like Comptech, but gains that are greater than comptech's and of course significantly greater over the stock exhaust which GREATLY outweighs the weight of the exhaust adding to the vehicle's overall weight. Alright guys, good response but let's show GReddy how badly we have been wanting this. Guys comtemplating over getting other performance products over this, BAD choice of judgement. The other products will always be available, I can assure you that this price is a ONE TIME deal. You can always purchase those other products at any time for probably the same price if not cheaper later down the road. Unless you're contemplating between this exhaust and tuition, you really don't have any excuse. Fork up the $ and guarantee a spot on this Group Buy before you regret it.
