No- the Navi DVD must remain in the drive for the Navi to work.

I would only buy the real deal but that's just me, I'm still on the original. I can't make up my mind if I want to upgrade or do a stock appearing tablet. Leaning heavily toward the tablet.

Acura Nav DVD Link

I took advantage of this offer today. It's already shipped too.

You need to add it to the cart. Then it will be $99.

So a related question for all you guys: I have both a 2007 Acural TL-S and a 2009 Honda Pilot, which I believe use the same GPS disc. Is it possible to do a sort of two for one by using the disc to update my TL and then put the disc in the drive of my Honda (which I believe it needs to stay in to function)? Or maybe I have that reversed...but if I can update both systems at once, it is worth whatever the cost is that Acura/Honda is trying to sell them at. Or...Other suggestions?

Thanks!

The TL will look for the disk everytime you turn on the car and I bet its the same thing with the Pilot.

where is the disc for the navi system located on the TL and/or Pilot? TL's might be on the player which I think is in the trunk...but what about Pilot's - anybody know? Sorry, I know that's kind of off topic.

Also, I think the questions already been asked and answered, but I couldn't make a copy of the disc that I purchase and use it in my second vehicle, or could I?
