Which wire is switched power at the fuse box?

I just spend like half an hour searching, and I can't find what I need. I tried searching for "fuse box diagram," and "ignition power," or something like that. I read through several "amp remote" threads and browsed fog light and alarm installations.

Anyway, I would like to know a wire that supplies power when the the car is "on." It's basically the same thing that those tapping into fuse 32 are doing, but I want to solder directly to the wire. I don't want stuff falling off after a while.

There are so many wires coming out of harnesses connected to the fuse box. There have got to be several wires that I could use. If someone could point me to a wiring diagram for the fuse box, that'd be great. Otherwise, I guess I'll have to just start poking through the insulation of wires to probe for something that'll work.

Anyone know what color the wire going to the 12V power outlet is?

Thanks in advance.

Use an Add-A-Fuse to tap #32 with a fused line for whatever you are doing. The connector is held in place very solidly.
You don't mention what year your car is---wire colors can vary between years. I believe the center console power has both a red and a white wire. Not sure about the dash unit.

ATC/ATO or ATM?

Does the fuse door panel slide freely? Are you using an ATC/ATO or an ATM model? Thanks

It's an 06

Thanks. It's an 06. I meant the power outlet under the radio.

You are going to need the ATM (mini fuse) model since the TL uses small mini fuses vs the larger fuses of some other cars.

Yea it comes right off, best to take the entire kick panel off on the drivers side to hide the wires properly. Using the ATM (mini fuses).

Thanks

Yeah, I have the panel removed right now. So the fuse door won't bump the add-a-circuit thingy? thanks

Ok

OK. The reason I asked was because I found a post where someone was using an ATO/ATC add-a-circuit model and said that it fits. The larger one is a dollar cheaper than the ATM model at Autozone. And I already have a bunch of the larger fuses, so I wouldn't have to buy the little ones.

ATO won't fit

Thanks. I got the ATM model. There's no way an ATO/ATC model would fit.
