Amp Turn-on from TPMS harness?

I'm looking for the easiest way to send a turn-on signal to my trunk amp, and I see that the TPMS module is behind the back seat cusion. I assume it only gets power when the car is "on," so I plan to send that power to a relay (that will take the actual turn-on power from the amp's power cable) to turn my amp on. You think this will work? Then I wouldn't have to run another wire from the front of the car to the trunk.

I used fuse 32 in the interior fuse box, used an add a fuse and tapped into it. Super easy cause its switched power.

Why can't you use the factory amp for the remote wire?

That won't work

I tried and it doesn't work. As soon as anything is connected to it (a relay or an amp), the stock amp quits working. I ended up tapping fuse 32 with an ATM add-a-circuit unit from Autozone.

Man that's weird :/ I don't have a system so I wouldn't know, I just assumed. Even if you tap the remote wire before the factory amp?
