Amp Install Help Please

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. I have a mono amp with high inputs connected to a 12'' sub. I ran the power cable and have a good secure ground wire. I connected the stock sub leads to the high inputs on the amp. Every install that I have read on the forum doesn't say to run the 12v remote lead, so I haven't (I am retaining the stock HU). However, when I bolted everything back in place and went to run it, the amp is dead. Please tell me I missed something stupid.

Thanks in advance

Ok, I feel kinda dumb. I just looked through some other threads and realized that I do need to run the 12v remote lead. Any ideas on where to run it? I don't have access to a voltmeter to verify the source.

Tap fuse #29 or #31 at the fuse box under the driver side kick panel. Either of these will give you power on ignition. Run this wire to B+ or the remote connector on the amp.

^^Thanks, you're a lifesaver! This is my first install on a stock HU, so I am all kinds of noob on this.

Here's a picture of the add-a-circuit I used for my remote wire.

Will an ATC add-a-circuit fit?

That's a picture of an ATC add-a-circuit right? That fits into the ATM fuse openning?

I don't get it

Where did you stick that thing? I looked at the fuses and there's no way an ATC/ATO unit will fit into an ATM openning. I ended up using an ATM add-a-circuit to fuse 32.

I think they showed you the wrong pic. You need an atm add a circuit. The one they posted is just to show you what you need. It is bigger but same idea.

On a side note: Did you guys run this remote wire down the drivers side along with the power cable for the amp. Would this cause interference?

I ran mine with the power cable

I've been taught to keep signal wires and power wires separate, so I ran my remote wire along with the power cable on the driver's side. I didn't want any noise to be transmitted to the signal cables from the remote wire, since the remote wire is connected to the same noise generating power source as the main power cable, the alternator.
