i dont understand when a car pc gets installed that people get rid of the compartments in front of the shifter to put the climate control displays there... is that necessary? if i thought that would be on the screen or something... thanks for the clarification fellas!!

i got a 08 base tl non navi... has anybody done an 07 08 conversion? is it the same procedure as all of the 04-06 ones basically? im doin tons of research but any help would be greatly appreciated as i dont want to miss something and learn it the expensive way lol... thinkin of a pc or modded oem navi? idk which ones better even... heads about to explode haha

If you do a navi conversion, then you don't need to relocate the non-navi display. If you install a car-pc and you still want to see the HU and climate control info, you need to relocate the existing display along with installing the display for the PC.
