What Volume when Jammin

I was wondering how loud I am pushing my speakers. I normally have the volume around 32-35 when I am listening very loud. Whats the loudest you guyzs play it at?

with windows down and sunroof i have it at 38 cuz outside noise gets in the way;

normally it'll be aroudn 15 though which is sufficiently loud; sometimes too loud since i also have the basslink

40, wow, do any of you know how the ear works? How fragile the ear drum is?

At 50, you guys won't hear shit. Of course I do not wish that, I wish you guys nothing but great health.

Tune it down. It's not about the loudness of the stereo, it's about the crisp sound with low end bass that you feel, not hear. (I'm an audiophile)...

you're absolutely correct. ~ that's why all the music ever play at the 40 mark will be lossless quality; and EQ adjusted before it's burned onto a disc.

trust me, EQ tuned Batman Begins Soundtrack with a basslink makes my adrenaline pump like crazy

I never went above 15-20 for extended periods. 30-35 for a short time but over 35 has distortion. With the new JL 6 channel amp, above 15 is unbearable.

about 35 with the subwoofer on -6 and bass on -6 as well. subs sounds good at this volume with lowest settings possible.

I'm not sure if you were asking how much your stock speakers can take but they can take a lot. My rear speakers are stock and I'm pushing 3X the stock power through them and they're holding up fine. I had to cross them over at 140hz to keep them from bottoming but they will go louder than your ears can take if you have clean power to them and don't run too much bass.

I know in Nero you can equalize the songs so they are all the same volume.

I normally run my ELS system between 8 and 12 depending on the song.

i know there are links, but i cant seem to burn dvd-a which would be great quality...

i usually listen between 20-25 depending on the song and sometimes 30 for a good acoustic song...

i have the subwoofer +1 and the bass on the speakers -2
i also fade to the rear -1 since the rear speakers can handle the load better than front.

without the svc crap, it may clear it up, but the volume goes away...i wish acura had put a more powerful music system...

i so want to put my old system from my cl(real thumper) into the TL, but i dont want to change my headunit...i love the navi...

It depends on what I'm listening to, of course, and how much road noise/other background noise there may be ("other background noise"—if I've been out at the golf course, I will have the air cranked up more and will turn up the stereo more to compensate). Generally for music on XM I'll have it between 6 and 12; for CDs or DVD-As between 5 and 15; for news radio, traffic reports, or sports broadcasts, generally closer to 15.
