I haven't seen anything new yet. If you go to the motorola site and click on the V710 phone link, you can register for email notification as to when the phone is released. Last I heard it was supposed to be out somewhere around mid-May to mid-June.

I concur with Dkrudop. It's the V710 and people from Verizon are still saying late May to early June.

JULY RELEASE DATE FOR V710

by BMR12345 Today, 11:33 AM

Sorry guys and gals

Motorola is now giving a July release date for the phone. I spoke to 2 reps at Motorola sales who told me they were told that the phone will now be pushed to July with no definite date. She said no sooner than July and that once they get a more formal day they will be pushing back the promotion. She told me it definitely won't be out any sooner than July. Her supervisor told them all in a meeting to give this new time frame.

Sorry

Well, I hope they change the offer on their "register it first and win a prize" promotion.......the website still says the deadline is July 10.

V810?? Is that different from the V710 or is that what you meant. Do you know the price range for this phone also?? If its is different from the V710, do you know when the V710 is coming out??

I just checked the Motorola web site and they don't show the v810 as having bluetooth, only the v710. And they state that the v710 may be 'Verizon's first bluetooth phone'.

The V810 looks like a pile of crap compared to the V600. The case, buttons, and screen looks as if it came from the motorola parts bin from three years ago.

The V710 looks a little better then the V810, but it looks like a dinosaur compared to the V600.

Very disappointing.

Where does it list Bluetooth? Am I missing something? Can somebody help me locate BT feature in the spec at this link?

here's a link for the V710. Sure looks like it's still "alive" to me. BT/HFL is mentioned CLEARLY in the specs.

What about the Jabra FreeSpeak Bluetooth adapter? Will that work with the HFL?

I thought these adapters would not work with the Acura bluetooth. I also don't see the V60s Verizon phone listed.

Anybody use this thing? Does it have Hands Free Link? It seems this might be the solution for Verizon customers.

Salesman's take on Verizon models w/ Bluetooth

Hey guys, I try to stay very current with this info, because I'm the only Salesman at my Acura dealership who understands how to pair and use the HFL with a BT phone. To my most recent knowledge, Motorola (Verizon carries more Motorola phones than any other provider), has 4 models available with BT and a HFP (Hands Free Profile or speakerphone feature). These are: Motorola V500, V525, V600, HF800. Some of these are brand new to the market and are only available inEurope currently. I know for a fact that Cingular carries the V600, so very likely Verizon will have it by the end of the summer if not before.

Please note: to work with HFL system, phone must have both BT AND HFP!!!

If it helps, the HFL IS a speakerphone, so...

The HFl is a speakerphone, designed tpo replace a headset or a speakerphone built -in to your phone. Therefore, if you use that item pictured, the HFL won't know to make use of it. You would have to use that speakerphone instead of the HFL system. Hope it helps.

No. The adapter does not support the Hands Free Profile.

Just got off the phone with Motorola support.

DC600 adapter supprts HFP and is due out by the end of July.

V710 is not due out until the Fall.

The hold up is not on the Verizon end of things.

If you go back on the HoFo and Phonescoop forums, you'll notice it "should've been out" every week for the past 2 months.

I'm waiting until the first 2 weeks of July before I put down my money on a BT phone. I would rather go with Verizon and CDMA. If it's still not out by then, I'm going with the SE T637 more than likely. Nokia is set to release their new BT phone sometime soon as well - the 6620. Although that one looks kinda porky.

Actually, Nextel carries more Motorola phones than any other provider.
