V710: Need help!
Can someone help?
1. How do I answer my call-waiting? I tried both steering wheel buttons.
2. How do I transfer to the HFL when I am on the phone and walk into the car?
3. How do I transfer to the V710 when I am on the phone and leave the car?
4. How do I check my cell voicemail? That is, how can I enter digits after the voicemail system kicks in?
5. Same concept: How do I play enter my code on my home answering machine so I can playback my messages?
THANKS!!!

4. I just dial my own number and voicemail answers and plays message.
5. When machine answers just hit button and say SEND and the code, HFL will start to ask if whatever number, just hit button and say YES or SEND. Same for any number you need to send. I finally got to play some today and realized that I was waiting for to many prompts.
I would say call, then wait for WHAT number, then give number, then wait for prompt when all you have to do is say CALL 555-1212 on first button push. Then as soon as number appears in MID hit button and say DIAL. Much faster, same with phonebook number on first button push CALL My House, soon as number verfies on MID hit button and say DIAL. Mid comes up much faster than voice says prompt.
One this I wish phone book on HFL had was ability to program in a WAIT and second number. I have accounts I check. So first have to dial and number answers requesting account number. I have programmed in account number as a seperate number so can just say SEND account for stock or whatever then SEND. A little longer than just hitting a second number programmed after a wait like on phone.
Voice recognition works well, better when you learn not to try to yell at phone and just talk in a normal voice. Don't know if was just me but I initially had a tendency to talk louder than I normally would.
Forgot, haven't tried #2 yet and I did get second call today and tried hitting call button didn't answer it. Don't know maybe should say send? Good question hope we both get answer. Will have to check manual in car tomorrow see if it addresse it.

Has anyone been able to program in their Verizon voicemail code yet? On the phone, you can program button 1 to access voicemail, wait for the prompt, enter your code, hit pound, and play your first voice message with just one button press.
If you've never done this, go into your phonebook and create an entry called "Voicemail" and assign it the following number:
*86pp#9999#1 (where the 9's are your PIN)
Point this entry to keypad button "1", and you're all set.
Is there a similar funcitonality for the TL? When I enter the above string, the phone/HFL punts me like a bad Windows 95 crash.
Any fix for this? Any way to use the Pause and Pound functions of the HFL to get to message one without any more speech?
TIA
BJ

Is my phone working incorrectly?
Is there anyway to set the ringtone so that when I have it on "vibrate" and then I plug it in to charge, it stays on "vibrate" and does NOT change to "Loud"
I understand that most people want to switch it to an audible ring tone when it is plugged in (and off of your belt), but I don't want to wake my family with my cell phone ringing.
On a tangent - somebody please check this - how come in the "vibrate" ring style, no matter what setting you have picked for the keypad volume tone (zero to full blast), I get NO tones at all. Only when there is a ring tone does Moto apparently think you want you want to hear a little button clicking action.
Just my phone??

It's kind of a kludge, but it does work.

I haven't found a great "one button" solution to Voicemail yet, but I have a passable one that works about 70% of the time, once I got the timing right:

Is there a difference from this and just entering your phone number in keypad "1" and doing the same thing?

*86ppxxxxxx#p1
x=pin numbers
Works just fine on the 710.
1. You can't answer from the steering wheel buttons and you can't see the caller ID of the second call on the display. The good news is that you can see it on the phone and switch calls as you would normally do by pressing the send key on the phone when connected to the HF Link.
4. Read the manual. You can use the Send command both to send digits or to send previously stored digits by having them saved the under a name in the phonebook.
5. See 4 above.

I don't have much of a problem with the V710 side for acessing Voicemail. It's the HFL Voicemail access that drives me nutzo!
