USA Spec BT45 - How to install/pass microphone cable?

Whats the best way to pass the mic from the trunk to the front beam? I'm having hard time to get into the cabin as the rear seats do not fold.

Thanks,
MM

rear seat has to come out unfortunately, then you can pass the wire through the side panels until you get to the front. Be careful when you remove the pillars because they have airbags right there. I didn’t want to go through the trouble so I didn’t even connect the mic, but it’s a hassle switching to speaker on the phone when I get a call

You can easily pass the wire through the firewall hole on the right side of the car. Follow the harness for the navigation/XM receiver and you’ll see that firewall hole. You need to wedge your fingers between the rear seat and plastic trim cover. Trust me, I’ve wired 4 different wires through there when I installed a Front Camera, Rear Backup Camera, Push button switch and an HDMI in for my Navtool module. Never had to take the seats out. But you gotta be more enthusiastic to get through there.

I ran mine from the trunk (behind all of the carpet and trim), under the back seat (you have to take it out), and under the carpet on the left side of the hump. I then cut a small hole in the carpet and pulled the wire through right next to the center console (hidden by the driver's seat). I then popped the trim piece off the left side of the console and tucked the wire inside. I brought the cable out and mounted the microphone just above the volume knob on the trim piece.

I could have ran it without cutting a small hole in the carpet if I removed the center console, but the extra work that nobody will ever see wasn't worth the effort IMO.

The BT45 is a great solution.

I ran the mic thru the backseats, along the door sills of the driver side and tucked it between the dash and A-pillar, above the driver side air vent. It sits nice and tight without having to stick it down with the adhesive pad.
