Uncald4 enclosure install help!

I've been getting no where. I finally got around to installing the enclosure that was sent to me last year. However the entire enclosure is fibreglassed and my audio guy is telling me Travis should have left a hole to mount it.

He says there is potential for the fibreglass to spider and crack? What options do I have to have this thing sit in place.

sorry for the crappy pics.

Suggestions please.

My install guy used about 5 screws to install it, had no issues with the fiberglass. Mine is holding a heavy 10w6v2 tho, so we wanted to ensure it was on there securely. Haven't had any issues with it moving or with cracks or whatever in the fiberglass.

He did indeed. Its the only way to do it. I actually talked to UnCald4 beforehand, he said that he purposely doesn't put any holes in there when he makes them so the person installing can do it the way they wish.

Other option would be to surround it with cases of Coors Light, a tried and true method. That is, until you drink the beer...

If you unscrew those black pieces the box will sit a little more flush. I also used my velcro back there but that didn't stay to long. There's another company that makes a box that actually screws right into the holes vacated by those black pieces. Maybe you can line them up and try that, I wasn't brave enough.

Only 2 screws needed. Go to home depot and get the same size screw (only longer) for that black plug for the mesh net. I got two of them for like $3. One hole in the box for that. Now you dont have to worry about putting more than one more hole in the TL

Quick question for people with this enclosure and the trunk liner. Do you have to pull the box out to remove the liner?

I am just curious what happens if you need to access the spare tire or something.

You can either remove the liner completely or cut it to fit around the box

mine only has a few screws and some velcro and works great. Even over the rough train tracks everyday it still holds firmly in place.
