Can't wait to see the Kenwood CCD-900 installed. Take pictures of it mounted and how wide the angle is. Good luck on the install!

Here are some more pictures after today's install. I'm stilll not at 100% completed yet, but everything works so far! Just gotta readjust some wiring tomorrow.

Kenwood CCD-900 Backup Camera

Navigation & Dom's Unit Velcro-ed On

Another View of Navigation & Dom's Unit

Here is the bracket for the camera. As opposed to Wendy's Camera bracket that screws in, this has an adhesive that sticks on.

The camera is actually larger than I thought, but it fits perfectly!

Here is a back view. Looks like the OEM '07's.

I'll have more in another thread that I'll create whenever I'm 100% finished.

Thanks for everybody's support!

Here are some more pics:

This is a screenshot of the USASpec PA11-HON2y playing my iPod. As some have mentioned, this CD5 is the 5th disc of an imaginary external cd-changer, not the 5th disc of your in-dash one. CD6 is used for the aux. input, which currently plays audio from my PS2.

This is my 5G iPod Video in its green iSkin evo3 case. The USASpec unit is right underneath my front cupholders and the iPod cord comes up through the center console.

This is a view in reverse. I'll try to post a better picture sometime soon. The picture and lighting is great!

PS2 in glove compartment.

PS2 remote...since the PS2 slim already has a built in IR, there is no plug that will cause the glove compartment to not shut.

Looks good

I wish they had a small XBox like that......

The Kenwood camera must be a fairly new model..? I didn't come across that one 8 months ago when I was researching. I like a little more vertical view though.

So is this your dads car? You mentioned it was a surprise for him..

Nice work

i think the kenwood camera actually came out about 3 months ago, but had been listed on many websites for about 6 months.

i don't mind the more vertical view at all. i just need to be able to see the bumper when backing up. i just now wish it was a bit smaller, because i'm starting to get worried about somebody seeing it and messing with it.

this is my dad's car, i'm just using it for the time being. hence the cali plates in tx.

thanks for the comments

I'm glad the guide helped you. It served its purpose.

Looks like a clean install man, but it looks like the camera is pointed too low. My camera barely clears the trim on top of the license plate.

Do you have any more pictures of the backup camera in action?

This is kennyc's install, but mine looks similar.

You can see the ground clearance here. You see a little bit of the bumper, but you can see a good distance behind the car.

Question #2, how is the night quality?

my camera seems to be significantly larger than your camera, and so i wasn't able to hide it behind the trim. i think both cameras have similar angles of visibility, but i'll try to adjust mine to show more distance behind the car instead of the license plate below. i just don't know how much adjustment i can make because the camera fits pretty snug in that room. as you can see, i had to shave off a lot more of that plastic just to get the camera to fit.

it works fine right now, but i'm sure i'll mess with the camera to see if i can adjust it a bit higher.

the picture above was a night shot, but it doesn't really show much since i park right next to a 3 foot stone wall. i'll get some more pics up soon, hopefully with the adjusted view.
