I thought the Navigation Package was the only option for these cars? Is is possible to find an 04 without HFL? Can this be added via aftermarket and/or Acura Addons?

If you have a 3rd gen TL, it has it. It is built in and you should see the buttons for it on the steering wheel at about 7 o'clock. Two buttons, can't miss it. What makes you think it is an option, or that your car doesn't have it?

 

Because I have an 04 without those two buttons.

 

Can you post pics of your steering wheel?
Also look where the sunroof control switch is; take a pic of that so we can see if the microphone holes are there.. Very interesting.

Was the car ever in an accident that caused the airbag(s) to deploy? If so perhaps the HFL parts were not reinstalled.

 

2004 models only had HFL included if the Navi option was ordered. The 2005+ Tl's have HFL standard even if you don't have Navi.

My friends has an '04 TL, no navi or HFL. I have an '05 TL, no Navi but do have HFL.

Hope this helps. Its just the '04 model year where the HFL was not standard.

 

Canada. Thats the secret. I bet in Canada it was an option but I am pretty sure that he US cars all had it.
