T637 Bluetooth Experience

Have had my Sony Ericsson T637 for two weeks now. Am reasonably happy with it. But I found that sometimes when I enter the car and turn on the phone, the TL does not recognize it. I had to go into Bluetooth and hit reconnect. Yet sometimes it recognizes the phone automatically. Don't know why.

On voice recognition, when the car is running with the a/c on, it is a bitch trying to input numbers. Somehow it would not recognize the number "one" most of the time. You can shout or whisper the number "one" and the system just wouldn't recognize it. But when the car is not running and with the a/c off, it works everytime.

Overall I am happy with the HFL despite the flaw.

Have a great New Year

Only once, and it was yesterday. Usually it is quite clear. I do not know if it is my phone, or the other side.

I have noticed the same problem you have.

I can't for the love of god - find a GOOD GSM phone with BT that is fully compatible with the HFL.

I loved the Nokia 6230 - the thing was an RF monster - but I TRULY miss the flip feature in all of these BT phones COMBINED with strong RF

I think the problem is more with the TL's microphone than the 637 itself. I've also noticed that my commands are not understood if the windows are down, moonroof is opened, or a/c is blowing hard. As far as static goes, I'v personally had no problems.

When the a/c is on u should direct the center vents downward so the airflow doesnt hit the mic.

I do get static with my T637 and I'm nearly positive that it comes from my end. What's more, I don't think it's a problem with the phone itself, because on non-HFL calls it's pretty clear.

I also get interference if the phone is too close to the car's speakers or the dash. I find it works best in the armrest console and works worst in one of the little compartments below the radio.
